As regulators crack down on local farm market vendors, NS government needs to step up and offer incentives to compensate.

I read in the recent Clipper that regulators are effectively shutting down many local farm market vendors. I completely agree that food safety is paramount and in the best interest of consumers, but so is having locally produced food and products from small vendors. If the big producers and grocery stores are pushing for small vendors to go out of business by lobbying government to hold them to unreasonable standards, then I think we should penalize the big producers heavily for importing goods…See More

Highlights video from the Chester Art Center Kitchen Party

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBPcqqbBkY8I cut a little video together of the highlights from last night's kitchen party at the Captain's house. It was a magical event with an incredible display of talent from Barry Redmond and his band featuring John Cahill on violin, Cynthia and Tom Myers, and Jean Nash on Accordion. This was followed by Holly Carr, who did a live painting on a large piece of silk while John, Barry, and Tom accompanied…See More

About Me

I am a web/flash developer who works from home. I primarily work for Jeffrey Gitomer as lead flash developer for his online training company.

Ive been doing flash programming for around 15 years primarily in the online education industry.

I do some local business as well, I am the designer/webhost/programmer of the following local sites: Chester Race Week, Chester Organics, John Dunsworth, and FilmFaceBook.com.

I proudly support a charity based in Houston TX called "The Haberman Educational Foundation" that works tirelessly to get the best possible teachers and principals for children in poverty in urban school districts throughout the US.

As well, I am an avid participant and contributor to "Second Life" as my avatar, Tree Kyomoon.

I also support Wikipedia and regularly contribute to articles particularly in the areas of history and scientific knowledge.

I collect Rare Books(pre 1700 preferred), antiques, and early scientific instruments, and am always looking to buy.

I host several facebook "fan" pages for a number of celebrities.

I am on Linked IN.

I have a blog on Learning Town.

I believe we are in one of the most exciting times in history to be a human being. We can use all these amazing tools to communicate with each other and express ourselves to the point where our only limitation is our imagination. I love life, my job, and my wife! I keep a personal philosophy blog here.

Love living in the rural Chester area among the trees, and I particularly enjoy our lifestyle in our friendly, laid back community. I hope to do all I can to support our community using my skills. If you have a project that supports the community and could use me, please send me a message!

Hi Ryan: I have an email question - I'm recently bothered by a flurry of unwanted and inappropritae emails from sources unfamiliar - so I hi-lite and add them to Block Sender's List, however, there's one sender that when I add to the list it confirms that it's from my own email address - weird! Also the block sender function doesn't seem to be working as these emails keep coming through. Any suggestions ?
Cheers,
Loretta
